A peaceful rest area in a beautiful lake landscape. Hämeen Ilvesreitti, the Häme Lynx Trail, runs past the lean-to shelter, so the Pääjärvi shelter is a good place to take a break even on a long hike.
Firewood is provided at the shelter. Be prepared to chop the wood before lighting a fire.
