Kalvola Church Trail
-, Tammela
Tammela
Description
The Church Trail starts from the medieval stone church in Tammela, passing by Mustiala Manor and continuing towards the Tammela uplands. There are many good rest stops along the way, such as the Likoranta lean-to shelter at Kaitalampi and Saarnakivi on the border between Keikkala and Hattula in Kalvola. The actual Church Trail begins on the approach to Kutila, starting from the old Kirkonmäki hill, continuing as a gravel forest road and gradually turning into a trail. At the middle section of the trail, there is a slight diversion from the main trail at Murhalammi, where there is a hut and a campfire site. Before reaching the Kalvola Church, you can take a break on Unos bridge, which crosses Lake Äimäjärvi.
