Description

Starting point: Pääjärvi Recreation Area parking area, Härkätie 1126, 14300 Hämeenlinna.

From the parking area, walk southwards along the Härkätie road. The path is narrow and has some exposed roots and stones.

From the junction, descend down towards the Pääjärvi lean-to shelter. The hill is easy and the path is wide.

From the lean-to shelter, head left towards a spruce forest.

The path forks at Mulkolammi where you turn left. You can also do the route in the other direction and turn right. The paths have some exposed roots which can be slippery after rain.

There is a steep and rocky hill on the way.

There is a bridge at the tip of the Kynnysniemi headland, which you should not cross. The route continues to the right along the shore of Lake Pääjärvi through the forest. Along the way there is a table with benches where you can take a break.

The route arrives back at Mulkolammi where the path forks.

From here, the route returns to the starting point along the same paths.
