Cycling in the Heartland of Happiness
Pedal along quiet gravel roads, weave through tranquil forests, pause in charming villages and discover the gentle silence of Häme from the saddle.
The routes connect Hämeenlinna, Riihimäki, Forssa and the Evo area, forming an extensive network that showcases Southern Finland’s most captivating natural sites and diverse cycling terrain. National landscapes, peaceful ridges and the charm of small towns create a journey that delights both nature lovers and culture seekers. Perfect for gravel riding, the trails follow mainly sandy roads and quiet backroads, inviting you to slow down and savour the ride.
Gravel Cycling in Häme – Gentle Routes Through Finnish Countryside
Häme by Cycle routes are made for unhurried adventures – smooth gravel, peaceful forest lanes and only a few short trail sections keep the riding relaxed and non-technical.
You’ll pass through areas where local farm life unfolds at its own pace. On the occasional private road, a friendly wave and a bit of space go a long way to keeping the countryside harmony alive.
The routes exist only in digital form, and you can download the GPX file from the route pages below. For your bike tyre, a 40 mm tyre is all you need for the entire network, though one loop rewards you with extra comfort if you choose 45–50 mm puncture-protected tyres. Climbs are mostly short and gentle, perfect for a fully loaded touring bike. On the rare steeper sections, your low gears will make the ascent easy.
