Clay & Drinks at Vanha-Norri

Welcome to a relaxed evening of ceramics, good drinks, and creative activity at Vanha-Norri’s new café!

The workshops are led by ceramicist Emmi-Riikka Marin, owner of Studio Onerva in Liesjärvi. These monthly “Clay & Drinks” evenings combine hands-on crafting with a laid-back social atmosphere, no need to be a master potter or an experienced hobbyist to join in. Three slightly different evenings will be held this autumn. Each session features its own unique theme, activity, and vibe; plus, of course, something delicious to drink (and eat).

** 1.10.: Wine & Platters**

Let’s kick off the autumn with wine and ceramics. During the evening, you’ll shape your own serving platter—one that truly reflects your personal style. Working with clay is a calm, meditative process, made even more relaxed with a glass of wine in hand.

**1.11: Cocktails & Mini-Sculptures**

In November, we’ll give our creativity a bit more room to play. We’ll sculpt small figures while enjoying cocktails and mocktails, embracing a fun, lighthearted atmosphere where nothing has to be too serious.

**3.12: Mulled Wine & Lanterns**

In December, we’ll light the candles and craft our own ceramic lanterns to brighten up the dark winter evenings. Mulled wine, clay, and the approaching holiday season make for a warm and atmospheric night. The perfect way to pause for a moment before the Christmas rush.

Every evening from 18:00-21:00

Price €65 per session, including 1 kg of clay, slips, firing, and clear glaze. Includes two themed tasting portions of drinks and light snacks (non-alcoholic options available).

Additional clay can be purchased for €6/kg. More food and drinks are available for purchase at the bar. 4

The evening is suitable for everyone, from complete beginners to those with prior pottery experience. Come alone, with a friend, or in a group. Here, you can create, experiment, chat, enjoy yourself, and—above all—relax. Space is limited, so grab your spot and join us for a relaxing autumn evening. Binding registrations are required by the Tuesday preceding the Clay & Drinks event.
