The Lake Mallinkaistenjärvi area is a forested recreational area, where hikers have access to four campfire spots and a beach for swimming.

Along the paths that follow the lakeshore, there are many beautiful steep cliffs, such as Valskerinkallio. The Saparonniemi nature reserve is home to ash and little-leaf linden trees protected by the Nature Conservation Act. Hikers can walk along the network of paths and stop to take a break at the campfire sites or take a dip in the lake.
