What would a fun summer day in Häme be like for a family with children? Warm, sunny and full of joy, of course!  There are traffic parks in every region of Häme, Hämeenlinna, Riihimäki and Forssa!  But what other nice things can be invented around traffic park day?

Things to do for families with children in Hämenlinna

The Hämeenlinna traffic park is located in Kauriala. In the Hämeenlinna traffic park, you can ride your own bike, or borrow pedalcars and bikes from the moped garage, which is open during the holidays on weekdays from 9 am to 3 pm.

It is only a short distance from Kauriala to Ahvenisto and the beach. Ahvenisto’s outdoor swimming pool is 1.3m deep at its lowest point, and the pool has a Wibit track and a jumping tower. The pool is a compact entity in the middle of Ahvenisto’s activity park and its many opportunities and services!  The outdoor pool opening hours depend on the time of season and you should always check them on the website.

You can enjoy ice cream and a snack at the Minetti cafe in Ahvenisto. Ahvenisto’s activity park also has a large, safely fenced playground and the Flowpark adventure park where children can climb.

Things to do for families with children in Riihimäki

The Riihimäki traffic park is located in the Riihimäki outdoor pool and is open according to the pool. The traffic park has pedal cars and kick scooters for the little ones to use.

Riihimäki land swimming pool is a great complex where you can find everything a family with children needs for a summer day!  Outdoor pool has two children’s pools of different depths for the smallest ones in the family.  For older children, there is a Wibit track, a jumping tower and a water slide.  Riihimäki’s land-based swimming pool also has saunas, which means that if the sun isn’t shining brightly, you can warm up from time to time and the fun can continue!

At Riihimäki’s land swimming pool, there is a kiosk that offers salty and sweet delicacies, and for the more appetizing food, hotdogs and French fries. One inland swimming pool: everything a family with children needs to have fun with the same ticket, within the same gates!

The Forssa regional traffic park is located in Forssa and is open in the summer at different times depending on the day of the week. You should check the opening hours on the traffic park’s website. There are also pedal cars and kick scooters to borrow in the Forssa transport park, so all you have to do is show up and have fun!

After fun in the park, it’s nice to go for a dip at Linkkalanlammi’s beach. There is a children’s pool for smaller children, a jumping tower for the wild ones in the family and a beach court, remember to bring your own ball!
