Hämeenlinna National Urban Park

Finland's first national urban park was established in January 2001 in Hämeenlinna. You can admire the magnificent scenery of Vanajavesi along the lakeside route. You can go to the Castle Park for a picnic on a beautiful summer day or admire the City Park gazebos and rare tree species. On Aulanko area you can marvel at the magnificent forest park, artificial islands and green parks with gazebos, or explore the Sibelius Forest. Culture can be enjoyed in the old industrial environment of the Verkatehdas area.

The Hämeenlinna National City Park is over 6 kilometers long and at its widest 5 kilometers wide, with an area of ​​about 740 hectares. It was decided to establish an urban city park in Hämeenlinna to preserve valuable and historical environments.
