Finnish Glass Museum

The Finnish Glass Museum has operated since 1981 in a former glassworks building converted into a museum by Tapio Wirkkala, world-famous Finnish designer.
Museum's large permanent exhibition features a selection of several thousand items representing the history of Finnish glass from 18th-century bottles to the finest objects of art glass. There is also a section of the fascinating 4,000 year early history of glass.
The former glassblowing facility and the third floor of the museum are reserved for temporary Finnish and international exhibitions of the history and present state of glass and design.
